You have made your decision: you will become a superhero. Enough of watching people doing it on TV. Enough of eagerly wishing you’d be like them one day. Now, it is time to listen to the inner voice that calls you to action and give it a go. Great start! That said, the first steps into becoming a superhero can be somewhat daunting. Let’s face it: nobody really knows where to begin. Well, fear not, as I’ve come up with a new and fresh guide to help you start your journey as a lifesaver and Evil-fighting expert.
1. Believe in yourself
Yes, I know, it sounds pretty generic. But let me assure you that this step shouldn’t be overlooked. Indeed, one of the biggest misconceptions about superheroes is that only a few people have the privilege to do the job. Let me make it clear: everyone, including you, can become a hero if they so desire. It only comes down to whether or not you are willing to stick to it. As long as you make good use of the advice and tips provided throughout our guide, you are guaranteed to make it. Now that we have this out of the way, let’s get to the real stuff!
2. Get superpowers
Some get them at birth, others don’t. In any case, you are going to need superpowers in order to save people or beat the evil geniuses. These are the bread and butter of superheroes. But what if you don’t have any? Well, with a lot of patience and dedication, you can obtain superpowers by yourself in a few ways. Here are some examples of what you can do to get them:
- Expose yourself to radioactive space crystals (try to avoid the green ones),
- Go to one of the government’s secret labs and drink whatever you’ll find there,
- Get bitten by a spider,
- Enhance your abilities through cybernetical surgery.
Do what suits you best and you’ll eventually get superpowers.
3. Get yourself a costume
As you help more and more people around the world, you’ll become a public figure and everybody will watch you on TV. There’s no way you’d want to look like a paper bag when this happens. Therefore, you need to get yourself a costume. A good costume will actually help you build a strong identity in the superhero world. Moreover, you’ll be able to apply its patterns to most of your merch and make money out of it. So get inspired and design the best costume ever (I advise you to go for the good old cape, although young people may find it outdated).
4. Be virtuous
Of course. As a superhero, you are the defender of Good and Right. You are the Advocate of Justice, the Agent of Benevolence, and a promoter of good overall behavior. For this reason, you always need to act accordingly: protect the week without expecting a return, fight the bad guys regardless of the difficulty, and get out of bed in the morning even if you don’t really want to. To be the greatest among the greatest, you first need to act like one. No worries, though, as we will get into a bit more details about the subject in an upcoming post.
Time to put it into practice
